The course helps participants learn to differentiate between various medical errors and use methods that prevent the occurrence of medical errors in health-care settings.
P12. Preventing Medication Errors
3 Credit Hours, $21
The course deals with the prevention of medication errors as part of medical errors. Medication errors are usually the largest part of medical errors. Prevention is discussed in the framework of patient safety, including the types of medication errors that are common in health-care settings, and various ways to prevent medication errors.
P13. Sexual Harassment Prevention

Sexual harassment is defined, and actual cases are used as examples to reinforce learning. Emphasis is placed on organizational preventive measures and methods for dealing with sexual harassment incidents from the perspectives of the organization and the individuals involved.

This course will help you understand how low-cost health measures can reduce global preventable mortality and how you can contribute to the reduction of global preventable mortality.
P16. Disease Prevention

This course is about disease etiology and prevention of major infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cancers and diabetes.
P17. Preventive Hand Hygiene
3 Credit Hours, $21
Clean hands are key to prevent infections and spread of antimicrobial resistance. Learn how, when and why you need to wash your hands, best practices for hand hygiene, the history and physiology of hand hygiene, hand hygiene guidelines, and various antiseptic agents.
P18. Preventive Ethics
3 Credit Hours, $21
The goal of prevention is to eliminate or reduce harmful behavior. That includes unethical and illegal acts. Prevention Ethics examines if these preventive measures are ethical or not.
P19. Food for Health
3 Credit Hours, $21
Learn about a healthy diet, including plenty of a variety of vegetables, fruits and whole-grain products and little of foods with much fat, sugar and salt. Learn how to select the foods that promote health, describe the foods that impair health, and develop weight management plans.
P20. Stress Relief
3 Credit Hours, $21
STRESS is the internal or external force that causes a person to become tense, upset or anxious. Distress is negative stress that may causes illness. Learn to: identify your stress-level, monitor the stress levels of others, how to break the immediate stress cycle and help others to do so, develop a lifestyle that is to a large extent stress-free, and put your mind into a stress-free mode.

If your plan is subject to these new requirements, you may not have to pay a copayment, co-insurance, or deductible to receive recommended preventive health services, such as screenings, vaccinations, and counseling.
For example, depending on your age, you may have access — at no cost — to preventive services such as:
- Blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol tests
- Many cancer screenings, including mammograms and colonoscopies
- Counseling on such topics as quitting smoking, losing weight, eating healthfully, treating depression, andreducing alcohol use
- Regular well-baby and well-child visits, from birth to age 21
- Routine vaccinations against diseases such as measles, polio, or meningitis
- Counseling, screening, and vaccines to ensure healthy pregnancies
