About Us
Rudolf Klimes, Ph.D. (Indiana University), MPH (Johns Hopkins University) served as professor and college president for a number of educational institutions the US and Asia. Among his many accomplishments, he pioneered methods to promote lifelong learning and was among the first educators to develop online courses for continuing education for the State of California (originally founded as Learnwell Resources in 1992, Orangevale, CA and later as Klimes Institute, Folsom, CA and Orangevale, CA).
The primary goal of this institute is to provide continuing education and online accredited CE courses (CA CEP 16144, DC Board of Nursing 50-8516) in health, ethics, and statistics to nurses, pharmacists, health professionals and other learners. He was joined by Anna Klimes, EdD, Heather Hawkins, DMD, and Bonnie Klimes-Dougan, Ph.D., LP to develop material for these courses. The institute is a member of the Nursing Learning Network of Box 14585, Albany, NY, which collects and distributes all fees.
The Institute is named after Jan Klimeš, the father of Rudolf Klimes, who lived from 1888 to 1972, saved my life many times, survived two Russian war imprisonments, and as an outstanding textile engineer, developed new methods of weaving nylon.
Some of the net income goes for charities, scholarships and other educational services. The teaching faculty providing the CE courses are volunteers. Dr. Klimes’ autobiography is available at Amaxon.com Adventurous Pilgrim.
