Course Description

The course deals with the prevention of medication errors as part of medical errors. Medication errors are usually the largest part of medical errors. Prevention is discussed in the framework of patient safety. It lists and discusses the types of medication errors that are common in health-care settings. The various ways to prevent medication errors are listed and explained. In order to evaluate and reduce medication errors, a well designed reporting system is required.
