Course Description

You will learn to eat plenty of a variety of vegetables, fruits and whole-grain products and little of foods with much fat, sugar and salt. This course covers healthy and unhealthy eating patterns, key nutritional guidelines, fat and cholesterol terminology, and evidence-based weight management strategies.

Course Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Select the foods that promote health
  • Describe the foods that impair health
  • Develop a weight management plan

Course Format:

Online linked resources and lectures available anytime, 24/7. Includes one multiple-choice exam taken at the end of the course. A passing grade of 75% is required. Upon passing, learners may print their certificate immediately.
