Course Description
STRESS is the internal or external force that causes a person to become tense, upset or anxious. Distress is negative stress that may cause illness. This course covers the physiology of stress, stressors, quick stress relief, lifestyle approaches to stress reduction, and strategies for preventing stress overload.
Course Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Know your stress level and monitor the stress levels of others
- Know how to break the immediate stress cycle and help others to do so
- Develop a lifestyle that is to a large extent stress-free
- Be able to put your mind into a stress-free mode
